CAFOD: a fantastically healthy response from high value donors
Challenge: To raise £153,000 from 4,500 of CAFOD’s high value donors to fund a network of primary healthcare clinics in Nigeria – serving over 2 million people, including many mothers and babies, who would otherwise have no access to basic healthcare.
Solution: A highly personal appeal from the head of CAFOD’s work in the region, giving this small group of donors a unique opportunity to make a significant impact. The three-stage appeal included a fact sheet, featuring photos and stories, along with a rational case for urgent funding to keep the programme running. It was supported online with video footage and news from the field.
Results: With 16% responding and average donations reaching over £600 in some segments, enough money was raised to keep the programme running. A real success!
